Kaiserhof offices, Cologne

This building is right at the centre of the German city of Cologne, very close to the cathedral. One of the defining features of the project is its use of various building materials and components, a combination with which the architects sought to provide modernity and, at the same time, quiet integration into the urban landscape.

The glazed façade stands out among these elements, the greatest hallmark of identity of the work. The floor to ceiling glazing with wooden curtain walling made in VIGAM lets a good amount of natural light flood in.

The choice of the wood, specifically oak glulam beams with the CE marking for structural use, also multiplies the sensation of warmth and comfort for the people working in the building.
