As this centre aims to train and provide consultancy for agricultural workers, the leading public figures of the area decided to opt for wood, a natural material closely linked to agriculture.
In this project, high quality oak did the trick and changed the minds of the architects, Staufer & Hasler, who had until then steered clear of pillars in their designs. After choosing this solution for this building, and witnessing both the function and the beautiful result obtained with VIGAM, their words were: “After many years avoiding pillars, we now create them so they are loved”. And the reason is easy to see.
